  1. Open the printer's ink access cover.
  2. Wait for the ink cartridge's carriage to settle before you proceed. Then, carefully remove the ink cartridge that needs to be replaced from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave HP V30 ink cartridge and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Insert the new ink cartridge into its respective slot until it is firmly seated in place.
  5. Close the printer's ink access cover.
